Thisted Municipality

Med den amerikanske ambassadør ankommer en delegation fra det amerikanske forsvar til Thy den 14. april 2010. De skal opleve forsyningsuafhængighed og vedvarende energi i Danmarks førende klimakommune.

Thisted and Mors are the only two Danish Municipalities represented individually at COP15. Together with Climate Solutions Thy & Mors they are demonstrating the local solutions.

Copenhagen Climate Exhange, COP15 and Bright Green Expo are all receiving Thisted when UN’s Climate Summit is making waves in Copenhagen the 3rd to the 18th of December.

Lise Degn from the municipality of Thisted gave a speech about how Thisted has achieved the status as Denmark’s leading climate municipalitytogether with CLIMATE SOLUTIONS Thy & Mors.

[ October 28, 2009; ] Craig Cox from Interwest, USA, is visiting Thisted to learn about nacelle production by Bach Composite and wind turbine administration by Thy-Mors Energi.

Energetic Citizens of Thisted work for even more experiences with Climate and Nature

A new nature route in the country side and a bus route will create a strong connection between experiences in nature and climate. This was the message from tourist manager Ole Riis and park ranger Jan Patuel Hansen at the last meeting at Energetic Citizens of Thisted in Doverodde.

[ October 8, 2009; 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. ] A town hall meeting regarding the National testcenter for wind turbines is held in Multihallen in Østerild.

The Danish wind industry is getting the largest test area for wind turbines in world and it is situated in the municipality of Thisted. Mayor Erik Hove Olesen predicts that this will create new jobs and bring tourists to the area.

Everybody was meeting and greeting the second day of Energetic Wednesdays, which this time was hosted by Thy Erhvervsråd.
