Energetic Citizens of Thisted work for even more experiences with Climate and Nature

A new nature route in the country side and a bus route will create a strong connection between experiences in nature and climate. This was the message from tourist manager Ole Riis and park ranger Jan Patuel Hansen at the last meeting at Energetic Citizens of Thisted in Doverodde.

Everybody was meeting and greeting the second day of Energetic Wednesdays, which this time was hosted by Thy Erhvervsråd.

Danish queen of country Tamra Rosanes opened the exhibit Energetic September with a bang. 350 locals found their way to Limfjordscenter at Doverodde to participate in the opening of Energetic September.

Through September The Limfordscenter at Doverodde will be host for energy exhibits, workshops and “energetic Wednesdays”.

The Manager of Nordic Folkecenter and Denmark’s grand old man in renewable energy Preben Maegaard is traveling the world telling people about the results in Thisted.

City Planner Lise Degn gave a speech about the energy planning in Thisted at the conference for Future Energy Supply in rural areas.

As a guest of CLIMATE SOLUTIONS Thy & Mors Liu Genyu, CEO of the renewable energy branch of China Power International New Energy Holding Ltd, spend three days in Thisted.

The next logical step in Thisted’s work for a better climate must be connected to nature. There has to be a theme on nature in the energy plan for the municipality. This was said when Energetic Citizens of Thy held their last meeting in Frøstrup the 28th of April.

The Canadian province of Ontario welcomes a new energy law the 1st of June which benefits renewable energy. The law is heavily inspired by experiences from Thisted.

The citizens of Thy must arrange car pools and commuter parking should be established.
